Divers Anonymous is a Scuba club based in northeastern New Jersey
and member of the New Jersey Council of Dive Clubs. Our growing
membership is made up of divers from every skill level. We plan
numerous diving adventures each year at local sites and in warmer
climates. While our focus is on diving, many of our activities
also allow for non-divers to participate as well. Our club meets
monthly to plan outings and discuss issues about diving. Additionally
during the year we get numerous guest speakers to talk about
a wide variety of topics at our monthly meeting.

This new club was formed to provide a format for individuals
intrested in SCUBA diving activities including, local diving,
dive travel trips, diving seminars, and training. Members range
from newly certified divers to dive instructors. Club members
include individuals who only dive in warm blue water to experienced
northeastern wreck divers.

The New Jersey Council of Diving Clubs is now composed of 19
member clubs and some associate and individual members. 50 years
ago the NJCDC was formed to promote a positive and safe image
of diving and to represent the diving community through its
various committees.

Club hosts private charters off the Jersey coast for the pleasure
of lobstering and spearfishing. The Tridents have been in existences
since the 60's and are one of the most experienced clubs in
New Jersey.

SJDC was created for the sole purpose of getting people together
to DIVE and have fun with North Atlantic diving. This isn't
to say we don't like diving the tropical waters of the world,
but diving the North Atlantic can be just as fun and exciting...sometimes
more so. Just imagine exploring a shipwreck that is over a hundred
years old or a ship that was sunk by a torpedo from a German
sub in WW II. Or diving on a German sub! Or bringing up fresh
fish and lobster for dinner. Our little part of the ocean is
loaded with possibilities for anyone willing to partake.
Aside from diving, SJDC is also involved in environmental activities,
such as beach clean-ups and ocean clean-ups so that we can continue
to enjoy the underwater world for generations to come.
SJDC also provides an open forum for divers to get together
to do what we all do when we're not diving... talk about diving.
Meetings are once a month and a great place for sharing stories,
learning the latest in diver safety, finding a buddy, or whatever
else inflates your BC.

We are the sponsors of the "Ocean Wreck Divers Annual Flea
Market" and are a non-profit organization contributing
to many different causes relating to the support of the diving
community and ecological issues. We have sponsored 5 wrecks
on the Artificial reef and plan many more, we support D.A.N.,
the Marine Mammal Stranding Center, and many other causes.
