Diving
Diving in Ha'apai stands for pure, clear water. Normal visibility
is between 30 and 40 metres (98-131 feet) but can sometimes
be more. Temperatures range from 23-24 degrees celcius (73-75
F) in the winter to 28 degrees celcius (82 F) in the summer.
Many of the dive sites are within the shelter of the islands
and barrier reef but there are also a number of dives that
are in more open water providing opportunities for pelagic
animal encounters including sharks, tuna, trevally and barracuda
etc. Turtles are encountered on  many
dives as well as eagle rays, sea snakes, a myriad tropical
reef fish and even the occasional humpback whale.

Each
Fale is provided with a private and furnished terrace, two
sun-chairs to be used at the beach as well as extra beach
towels.

The
10 Tongan-style fales (4 twin/double & 6 family) all have
covered terraces, electricity, hot-points  and
very comfortable bedding with mosquito nets and wardrobe/shelves.
Linen and towels (including beach towels) are supplied. The
separate male & female ablution block (with solar hot
showers) is a short walk from all fales.
