Baja
has world-class diving areas and the best diving is from May
to November. In the Cabo  area there's Submarine Canyon which
is just off the Bay of San Lucas and offers the diver a unique
experience to witness the sandfalls. White sand slopes to
the canyon wall and falls over into the depths; which gives
the diver the illusion of flying over a waterfall. There is
also Gorda Banks which is a pinnacle that rises to 90 feet
below the surface. Here is where the big fish are, including
whale sharks, mantas, barracuda, hammerhead, tuna and other
pelagics. Cabo Pulmo is also a unique experience in that it
is the only living reef on the Pacific Coast of North America.
There are numerous schooling fish, garden eels, corals and
game fish.
